SARKODIE'S ''HIGHEST'' ALBLM AIMS FOR THE HIGHEST SPOT
The much anticipated album ‘’Highest’’ the fifth studio
album from Sarkodie who has established himself as one of Africa’s hottest
rappers now climbed up the iTunes charts In less than 24 hours upon its release
on Friday, September 8, with ground breaking chart positions dominating iTunes
album charts in America, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Switzerland among
others.
''Highest'' shot to the top of the iTunes album charts
in Ghana, and landed the #2 spot on the iTunes album charts in Nigeria. Further
reaching the top 20 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap album charts in both the UK and
US and landing at #13 and #7 respectively as well as the Top 30 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap
album charts in Canada and Switzerland. The album last month dominated the rap
music news scene, with a landmark UK press tour and support from some of
entertainments most influencial including BBC 1Xtra, MTV, Hunger Magazine, Capital Xtra, and
Radar Radio, to mention a few.
The album which consist of 15 brand new songs, 3 interludes
and a bonus track, from the multiple award winning artist features works from both
home and international wave makers like long-time producer Jayso, Big Narstie (UK) Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Moelogo (UK), renowned spoken word artist Suli Breaks
