MEET GHANA'S 'HYPEST' MC
Events in Ghana are now experiencing a face lift in terms of
properly entertaining audience thanks to the tireless efforts of MC's, artistes
and organizers. The focus by the way is on the MCs now since they are the ones
actively involved in interacting with the audience. One name keeps coming up
when we mention Mastering of Ceremonies in Ghana and its none other than Ogee
The MC, tagged "Ghana's 'Hypest' MC". It is said that an
entertainment event is never complete without a master of ceremonies ";this
is an incomplete statement itself, perhaps we should say " An
entertainment event is and will never be complete without Ogee The MC",
that is word on the streets now!
Born Bright Danquah in Kumasi, Ashanti Region Ogee moved
from being the regular guy to being that bad hyper boy on the Microphone!.Ogee
The MC as he is popularly known attended the Armed Forces Senior High School in
Kumasi, Ashanti region and continued to the Takoradi Polytechnic where he
studied Graphic designing. His love for entertaining people started in Senior High
school where he used to mount stages to just entertain his fellow students with
music during entertainment nights on Saturdays. His love for this craft saw him
MC'ing in clubs in Kumasi and its environs. He met YFM Ghana's drive time show
host and recording artiste Joel Orleans
who was then a radio jock at YFM Takoradi in 2010 who introduced him to
radio. Ogee The MC then became the official hype man for the radio station at
that time. In 2012, he relocated to Accra to pursue his dreams of becoming the
biggest master of ceremonies in Ghana.
Through hard work and persistence, Bright gradually gained
recognition in the nation's capital through his activeness in 'MC'ing' events
throughout the City. His name is literally embedded on the walls of all the
biggest clubs and hangout joints in Accra. He currently MC's at the Plush Bedouin
Lounge, East Legon, Bela Roma, Osu, Prive
Nite club to mention but a few. Aside club MC'ing, Ogee Mc's concerts.
He was the official Mc for Shades On
Shorts , Loud In Gh 2015, YFM Easter in Accra Beach Party to mention but a few.
He was also the official hype man for Ruff N Smooth at this year's Ghana meets
Naija concert. Djs and Artiste now
like to have him on stage whilst they play or perform because is always hyper
Aside being a Master
of Ceremonies, Ogee is an event planner and an online marketing adviser and
currently works with the Joel Orleans company. He also hosts the "About
Last Night" segment on the Saturday Morning Live show with Brown Berry on
Y107.9fm on which he talks about the most interesting clubs and hangout joints
in the city of Accra; the ones he comes across on his MC duty. He plays
basketball and believes that keeping fit is key in staying healthy. Ogee looks
forward to working and meeting with the biggest names in the world. His
ultimate in being a master of ceremonies is to become the greatest MC from Africa and to eventually hold the
prestigious BET awards ceremony.
