KWAKU ZYME Biography





Born Innocent Cobblah 23 years ago, Kwaku Zyme grew up a church boy in the Town of Nungua in the Ga South District of Accra. His stage name Kwaku Zyme came about due to his birthday in Akan “Wednesday” and its corresponding name Kwaku and Zealous youthful and musically enlightened. Kwaku Zyme attended Benkum Senior High school in the Eastern region of Ghana and was the entertainment prefect. Kwaku Zyme is hardworking, positive and believes that versatility is the backbone of creativity.


Kwaku Zyme started as the young organist/pianist in his church when he was growing up, his love for music grew into motivating him to take on rapping when he realized he couldn’t sing but rap. Aside the keyboard, he plays the guitar.
He’s worked with Balljay, Abe Beats, its CJBeats, Posigee and many other notable producers in the music industry. Zyme over the years has become a campus favorite in his current school, the University of Ghana.
He’s performed at major hall week celebrations like the REPU, PentStreetz, and Vodafone X and also performed at the 2016 Stoneboy and friends beach concert at Muston as well as YFM's Junction mall concert in November, 2016.
Kwaku Zyme has collaborated with big names like Enwai of Dobble fame and Luther. Some of his songs include “Black list” and his current banger “gye me tataa”. Zyme is currently signed as the main artist on the HHK (Hood of Hard Knacks) record label owned by Young Entrepreneur Charles Cudjoe. Kwaku Zyme takes inspiration from BET award winner Sarkodie.
